Cliffcrest

This neighbourhood is large and has a bit of a staggered boundary. The western boundary goes from the corner of Midland Ave and St. Clair, north up to the C.N.Rail tracks, east over to Brimley Road and south down to the lake. The northern boundary is the C.N.Rail tracks and the eastern boundary is Bellamy Road South to Ravine Drive. There are many desirable neighbourhoods within this district ranging from affordable bungalows and 1 ½ story homes to stunning mansions along the top of the bluffs. You will find homes ranging from small starter homes north of Kingston road to the million dollar homes along Meadowcliff Drive and the Bluffs and ravine properties.

SPORTS AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES

Anson Park is located just east of Brimley Road a few blocks north of St.Clair Ave. There is a playground, baseball diamonds and soccer fields here that combine with the Anson Park Public School.

Cudia Park is a special place overlooking Lake Ontario with many pathways  and trails that are great for hiking.

Cathedral Bluffs Park is south of Kingston Road bordering on the edge of the Bluffs. There are a few pathways you can walk along that give you spectacular views of Bluffers Park down below.

Bluffer’s Park Beach located east of the foot of Brimley Road, this large beach traps sand against a lakefill arm of Bluffer’s Park.  The Scarborough Bluffs provide a dramatic backdrop.

SCHOOLS AND LIBRARIES

Anson Park Public School is located at 30 McDuff Crescent which is north of St. Clair Ave just east of Brimley Ave. It has classes from JK to grade 8. It is a small school with approximately 230 students that opened in 1959.

Fairmount Park Public School is a local public school located at 31 Sloley Rd, which is at the bottom of Dorset Road, south of Kingston Road. Originally built in 1951 as an eight room school house with a unique design, this bungalow style school currently houses the Sunshine Daycare. The school grounds blends in with Cathedral Bluffs Park at the top of the bluffs and offers stunning views of Lake Ontario. It has recently been converted to a Kindergarden to grade 8 school.

R.H.King Academy is a local secondary school located at 3800 St. Clair Ave, E.  just east of Brimley Road. This school is rich in tradition and started out as the Scarborough High School back in 1922. Many changes have taken place over the years but the main thing has always been quality education.

Bliss Carmen Senior Public School is located at 10 Bellamy Road South. It is a middle school serving the areas grades 7 and 8 students.
